Course Details

We provide Specialised courses for Watersports Coaches/Instructors who teach in Centres, Clubs or anyone wanting to gain valuable life saving skills and knowledge for use whilst afloat.

The courses are accepted by the RYA, BCU, SCA and other sports governing bodies as a pre-requisite for Instructor training and revalidation of Instructor qualifications.

Our Courses are dynamic and very practical to enable you to have hands-on learning in a fun and enjoyable environment.

BCU Watersports First Aid Course (One Day)

Suitable for:

Anyone involved in paddle sports and other watersports at recreational or Coach level.

This course covers the basics of First Aid and includes:

Valid for 3 years

RYA Small Craft First Aid (One Day)

Suitable for:

All RYA Instructors, Club sailors and anyone involved in Water based activities.

The course is designed to provide a working knowledge of First Aid including,

Certificate:

Valid for 3 years

HSE First Aid at Work (Four Day) Refresher (Two Day)

Suitable for:

Those people wanting to be a Designated First Aider At Work, this course trains you to the standard required by the Health and Safety Executive for the purpose of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Those holding a current 4-day HSE certificate can attend a 2-day Refresher course.

Content:

The course covers all the subjects within the First Aid At Work Manual, some of these are:

An independent practical and theory assessment is held at the end of the course.

Certificate:

Valid for 3 years and is renewed by attending a 2-day Refresher course.
